Q's on PS2's

Hi. I had a couple more questions, and Toaster I thank you for helping me out eariler although some of these are some old questions.
#1. Was it worth for you to buy a mod chip and an ar2, have it installed-voiding the warranty, and having to restart games that have frozen? If you could do it over again, would you?
#2. What have been your experiences with fmv skipping?
#3. What is an 1uF 63V capacitor?
#4. Where could I get this and a mod-chip installed? I want someone who knows what their doing, I.E. not me. TV repair shop or electronics shop?
#5. My messeges don't seem to appear after I have posted-I mean obvisioly they do-people can reply-but I cant find it when I come back. Do I need to delete cookies or somthing?
#6. Im sorry if I am coming off as a lamer but Im just trying to get some info and I do greatly appreiceate your opinions and views. Thank you!

hi there ...lets begin.....
1. yes it was worth it and i would do it again there are only very few games that freeze but once you press eject to unfreeze them they play on without freezing again..so its not a problem..
2. zero fmv skipping even better when you play old psx games they run like a dream...
3. the capacitor is an electro component which dampens any clicking sounds that may occur from reading backups and also makes it easier to read most brands of cdr's ...works well....
4.if you live in the uk you could do what i did take it to http://www.playstationmods.com and they fit it while you wait you can also buy it complete online also there is http://www.kanection.co.uk both can be trusted and also give great support...
5.its always good to get rid of cookies it clears the system out.......
6. a ps2 costs loads of dosh so i know your concered about it ..take it to one of the sites above they will look after you and you wont have any worries.........

Thank you that is exactly what I was looking for! I live in the US so it would probably cost too much in shipping to use those sites. Any ideas where else I could take it? What is a good type of cd-r media to use? I have heard of people using cd-rw's, whats the deal with that? Im quite full of questions :-) Thanks a lot!
