Z steel Soldiers 1.41b fixed exe not working

someone released a fixed exe for z steel soldiers 1.41b on gamecopyworld but the exe file will only work with a cd without a cd it wont work

someone needs to create a proper fixed exe for this

can someone please do this please so the game runs without a cd

Did you read the nfo, incase there is more to it?

Usually a crack like that requires files from the cd to be pasted into the game directory on your HD. Hence why it looks at the CD.


EDIT: Its not a crack after all, its just got safedisc removed as quoted from nfo.

If you knew that and said that in the first place :P

I dont have the game, to see what it needs etc. And the program itself when disassembled is a nightmare to get any info from (well for me anyway). So Sorry no can do at this end.

I had a quick look at the code, and I think the CD-check is only performed if it does not find the necessary files in the folder where you installed the game. You should see folders called 'logos', 'movies_eng' at the same level as the 'bin' folder. If you do not have them, try to locate them on your CD and copy them over.
