Hi all you brainy so and so's, im having trouble making a working backup of the game "Donald Ducks Quack Attack", ive read the previous posts of this which say a patch isnt needed, but my back up wont load all levels or stalls whilst loading the next level.. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated i use cdrwin 3.8c, and my trusty HP7200 external.

Does this happen with all PSX backups you do or just D/D?

There are a few reasons this may be happening and here are the most common.

Never record on the fly, always make an image to your Hard drive first and then burn the image.

What speed do you burn? try at 2x with RAW checked for CDRWin this will reduce your errors. Set read to 4x.(data and audio)

Turn off your screensaver.

Disable Power Management Support in Windows and in Bios.

Remove all programs from your start up menu.

Disable any schedualed tasks you may have set up.

Remove or disable any virus software you may have running.

Basically switch off, disable, erase anything that may cause an interruption to the flow of data from you Hard drive.

OOOPS forgot to mention,

There is NO patch required for D/D Quack Attack.

i burned it ok @ 4x on cdrwin 3.8d and there are no problems what-so-ever. i had this some problem when i did crash bash not loading levels and the like. after scraching my head for ages i realised that it was just a naff disk so i re-copied it on a shiny new verbatium one and it worked fine.
