I am having the same problem, and need to find a patch. Does anyone know where I can get a patch for this game?

I found a full fix for GameDay 2001 here http://members.theglobe.com/ilovellamas/default/backup.html. Guy claims it is the full fix and spent much time to develop. It is a big download 12MB and I downloaded it twice but can't get it to apply. PPF-o-Matic locks up on me everytime and so does the dos version, first time this has ever happened. I e-mailed the guy to see what is up and am waiting a reply. Anyway, go down the page and look on left hand side for the link to the patch and goodluck. This is for the US NTSC version.

i think it depends on how old your mod chip is.. i have a older 7wire, stealth mod chip, and it wouldnt play without the patch.. i'm also using a psx 9001 series.. but you have more of a chance of the patching working, than not.

later.
