DC Webbrowser Soft Reset Workaround?

Is there someway to make the WebBrowser aka (multiple games in 1 cd) soft reset action, reset to the first index page?

For example, i have Crazy Taxi 1,2, and Tokyo Bus. I play Crazy Taxi 1 then soft reset so i can play Crazy Taxy 2, but instead of relinking me to the menu, i get a total black screen.

Any way to fix this?

Thanks!

If your using DP3, the soft reset seems to not work unless you build the disk the 45000 LBA DATA/DATA method. Once I did that, soft reset started working fine. PlanetWeb2.6 soft reset should work no matter what the LBA is.

Edit: Or hexedit the maigo.bin Read: http://fileforums.com/showthread.php?p=230876

I tried that Hex edit for the MAIGO.BIN and it doesn't return to the menu, it just freezes and loads up a black screen.

What is the LBA DATA/DATA method? Seems interesting, also do i need to binhack the 1st read of the DP3 or the games i'm adding to 45000 or something? OR just leave the normal LBA (11702) that i've been using?

You need a FAKE data1.iso that reach 45000 LBA in CDRWIN (not working with cdrecord because cdrecord add 2 additonnal fucking sectors)

1) I use a 68 501 504 byte file to do this, Rename it to data.iso and burn it with Open Session Checked, CD-ROM XA, MODE 2

2) mkisofs -C 0,45000 -V BLABLA -l -o data2.iso data
In order to make the image file

3) You do not need to binhack in theory but in practice i use binhack and take ONLY the IP.BIN generated for IP injectingt, and let the original 1ST_READ.BIN unmodified.

Ip inject the IP.BIN

4) Burn the data file with CD-ROM XA Mode 2 and Open Session UNCHECKED.

NOTE : This method works with games without audio tracks. Also, it reduces the maximum second iso size to 600MB of data.

ADD. NOTES : This method defeat the original katana protection but doesn't defeat selfmade protection like Capcom Vs SNK

there's no reason the first iso has to be fake. put as many files as you like (but not any executables, like 1ST_READ.BIN's) into a directory for the first ISO, but you want the total to be less that 33598 sectors (about 65 megs). Pad the ISO with zeros until its exactly 33598 sectors (68,808,704 bytes exactly) Make the iso with mkisofs and burn with cdrecord -multi -xa1 . If you do a -msinfo afterwards, the LBA with be 45000. Make the second iso using the switches -M NameOfTheFirstIso -C 0,45000. If you can get the first ISO to build at exactly 33598 sectors without padding, this method actually gives you 300 more sectors (614,400 bytes) more data to use on the disk than using a 300 sector audio.raw.
