Bug error report need help!!!!

I just got Broken Sword 4 on PC and when I go to install the game, it gets to the end and then comes up with this message:

A bug report will be created, saved to a file, and copied to the clipboard.
Application will now terminate.
Bug reference: UserEMViewer[09 13 26 03 10 2006]
Bug report file: "Crogram FilesTHQRevolution Sodtware LtdBroken Sword The Angel of DeathUserEmViewer[09 13 26 03 10 2006]0.txt"

And then a text file which I guess is the bug report comes up and then that's it. The game seems to be installed, the files are there but I can't start the game, it just comes up with this message. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn't work. I also checked that I have all the requirements to play the game. So what is going on? Is there a patch or upgrades or anything at all I can do to install this game?

Contact the publisher for Tech Support.

Fileforums is not Tech Support!

I know but I've tried everything and I'm desperate. The publisher hasn't contacted me back yet and I have to wait until tommorrow to call the tech support for the game. I was hoping to get some answers now.

well you haven't stated if you're installing from a backup or not.. but generally for those sort of errors you must contact tech support, as fileforums is for backup assistance (or assistance with errors from using the cracks etc)..

if it was a common error someone would probably be able to assist.. but sadly yours is not... so you really have no choice but to contact the games tech support department..

When I have technical problems with games I usually, ask, search on forums, or search on google too. Most of the time Tech Support from Publishers s is kinda useless. and a lot of times you get better help from experienced gamers than the Publisher itself They always say the same experienced with computers know : defrag your hd,download the patch, close unneed processes, update your video/sound drivers or repeat the same crap that is alraady on the readme file. That is why I generally don't contact them and try fix myself trying different things

Yes, but unfortunately that is all the advice we can also offer, unless we know of a particular problem.

Yeah, technical support - at least, the front help desk - is a bunch of idiots. If you can get to a real technician-engineer, you'll get real help, but only specific help for specific questions! (I'm talking about application software here, not games, though...) So, your best choice is trying the official support forum instead: as acal3000 also wrote, people who know the game and are also good with computers in general will be able to provide much better help!

Contact the publisher !!

I know it sounds stupid but it´s often a cost factor calling the publisher and a time factor to keep the game up-to-date. So it should be mentioned that support on the telephone isn´t as easy as described in the previous posts.
