The fact that you're new to the forum won't save you the ban for not reading the friggin' rules that even pop-up in your face whenever you enter the forums. I mean, come on! It's with RED BOLD letters. It's telling you to read it! LOOK, I'M HERE! I'm the rules, and if you don't read me, you get banned!

[coughs and straightens tie] Okay, enough now. This forum does not support warez. Bye.

Er... Okay. Whatever. Pretty lame, but anyway. I'm not one the one to judge if it's fair play.

My opinion is that these days CloneCD is a load of rubbish, back in the days of version 2 yeah it could perform relgious miracles...get rid of that - or just don't use it expecting it to produce good backups of modern protections...

Basically...

Instead of CloneCD, use Alcohol 120% available at http://www.alcohol-soft.com they've got a trial there.

Then download the latest Daemon Tools - 4.03 I think, at http://www.daemon-tools.cc

I'd not sure what protection is on the new sims addon, but I'm guessing its prolly Safedisk 4.6.

In which case, go into alcohol and click "Image making wizard". choose the "Safedisc2\3" profile.

And follow the obvious instructions in the program.

Mount the image you make in Daemon-tools 4.03

You may or may not need an antiblacklisting program, if you do post back

no you're misunderstanding I wanted to burn it to make sure i made a correct image, to see if it wasn't just the mounting..OF COURSE i know my original would work ij ust wanted to test the files on the mdf to see if it was something wrong with the files like i might have made messed up files or something yeah that's it all perfectly explainable.

You're digging yourself further & further into a hole here
Just give up, accept the ban & come back having read the rules- They are there for a purpose.

I'd love to catch you doing something face to face...hehe...

If you dig any further you won't be able to climb out...

I think what I said in me post further up should sort it out...

there's another topic here that says the game defo is Safedisk, just follow the steps.

You might need a program called "Pr0t.Stop" checkout http://www.cdmediaworld.com for that

not sure if they got it actually, if not just google it

Talking this is how I got the game to play

I just found out earlier today how to play my Open for Business game without the cd, so I thought I'd stop by and pass the info on to you people.

Here's what worked for me, and I have been playing the game cd-free for a couple hours now with no problem...if you follow my directions properly, there is no reason it wont work for you as well.

1. Get the Game Jackal Program(the free download)
2. Get the safedisc 4 hider Program
3. Follow the directions in the Game Jackal program to create a profile for the .exe file of the Open for Business game. While creating the profile, if you are using a mdf or mds file, direct the game jackal program to the virtual disk location that you use to mount your images on, then when it finally says to put the cd in, mount the image at that time. Once finished, do not activate the profile yet, but leave the game jackal program open.
4. Start safe disc 4 hider program
5. Click hide on the safe disc 4 hider program
6. Activate the profile on the Game Jackal Program
7. The game should play now
I hope this works for you guys, but let me know if you have any problems.

i didnt use Game Jackal at all, but i simply manually disabled my physical IDE optical drives (actual cdroms/dvd drives, not virtual ones created by 3rd party programs like Daemon tools) and used Safedisc hider 4 and latest Daemon Tools to mount the image and it worked like a charm, its a little annoying but it's a necessity when you've got a set of twins for siblings, buying every game they like twice is just silly...

Have you left out any details? I did exactly what you say, but still my game asks for the cd..

can u be more descriptive as step 3 confusesx me, think i did it wrong.. "".. where/how using what?.. think i did, but i get mdsg wanting the cd i cloicked it away, started the hider, then activated the profile and still it wants the cd..

are you using a dvd or cds for open for businss if there is cds, i have a dvd maybe thats why mine wont work, or maybe my image is bad?
