To see DivX videos on Dreamcast

With the upcoming Playstation 2... still another reason to buy a Dreamcast :-)

Procedure:

First of all you must have the elements following:

* A video .avi compressed thanks to the codec Div-X.
* The software Sega Dreamcast Movie Creator (7.5 Mb)
* Files to be put on CD with the video (300 KB)

So that your video div-x functions on your dreamcast it should be converted into
video Sofdec Data (which is the standard for the dreamcast). This conversion is
carried out in 2 stages. Initially it is necessary to convert the sound into Sofdec
Audio (sfa). For that, launch Sega Dreamcast Movie Creator, select your avi div-x,
and put Sofdec Audio sfa, start the conversion then have patience (15 minutes).

Once your file audio sfa is created you must select it in Audio. Select your avi
div-x in video then put Sofdec Data. You must choose a bitrate approx. 850 (according
to my tests a video sfd of approx. 850 is the same size makes it possible to obtain
than the avi [translation of this part was VERY rough]). Then launch the encoder
(15h of patience).

Now that you have your video in sfd, the only thing left is to burn it on a CD.
Decompress the sfd.zip files that you downloaded from the top, then reselect your video
in BUMPER.sfd and put to it in the file "movie". Thats it.
