How do i make an image?

Hello all

I want to make a back-up cd for the first time (game Rome: TW) which can work independiatly on my other computer. I read the FAQ on gamecopyworld and some other sites on how to do this and followed every advise i could find but i am still unable to make a image of the first CD.

I've done the following steps:

* Checked if my CDReader/burner can do this RAW thing.
* Purchased Alcohol 120% (and CloneCD)
* Found out what protection is on the Cd (securerom 3)
* Put in the correct settings (i think) in the copy disc screen with Alcohol)

And then at 0,4% reading, Alcohol gives my only read-errors.

Clone CD has the same problem: stops at 0,4& and gives me read-errors. On top of that: i cant change any advanced settings with CLoneCD.

I am pretty sure the problems lies in the settings. Does any of you know a solution to this problem?

why not experiment with the settinbgs and see what happens, read errors are quite common for most of the protections.. is this the first time you have tried to make an image.. also remember that starforce drivers (if present on your system) can also make images 'bad'.. re read the faq, read through the other threads and you might find your answer
