Unhappy How to crack exes

I was wondering if ne1 could give me any help with how to crack exes. The game is Ricky Ponting International Cricket 2005 (or Brian Lara) the exe file is 2.15MB. If ne1 has ideas can they help?

if the exe is protected with a commercial protection like safedisc, securom, starforce etc.. then you have a lot of work to do, if its a simple cdcheck then the job is a little easier.. do a search on the forum as this topic has been covered many many times

Thumbs down home cracking !!

I am of the opinion without high school and a study in computer science itīs not possible to understand what u are dealing with. U are stealing peoples time, talking about the best anti-pirate solution made on this earth, from money collecting software arses.

As TippeX said, time, patience and research. It will take a long time, schools and even universities dont go into the complex world of ASM as much as people could learn themselves.

Courses sure will help with basics of ASM, and how to build executables blah blah, but when it comes to protections and wrapping, no you wont find that on any course.

you dont need it i never ever saw a reverse engineering course offered in university, i taught myself.. in uni you are taught basically how to make things and how to code it etc.. you are not taught the opposite which is where the aspect of teaching yourself comes into play.. start making a hello world type executable, debug it, figure out how it works, then move on.. sure there are tutorials and things too but tutorials are only effective if you learn from it and dont expect to be spoonfed the information.. ie: tutorials help but its best to follow the tutorial then try it your own way.. you learn more..

university degrees do not help, the only thing that helps is being patient, analytical and being willing to take chances messing around with code. As for commenting about starforce, there are many threads about starforce and various information on the web about it, as for it being dangerous its a moot point and from your statements i would say you are ill informed.. im quite framiliar with starforce and many of the other protections, they are all a variation on a theme.. they just use different approaches... oh and legends do die, they died with operation fastlink

University education is not needed. I'm 2nd year in high school and I'm self taught... All I did was never give up.
