I just wanted to know that whats the best software to make a 1:1 copy of ur original DVD games , i heard that Alchol and Blindwrite are the only software which make a good copy provided you set them right , e.g DPM setings or something.

I dont know how to make the copy , Can any one pls help as how these setings are setup in the software , A step by step guide would be prefered thanks .

If i wana backup my Splinter Cell Choas Theory DVD and i have ALchol latest version how will i make a copy of the game , Pls explain step by step and also mention which setings i have to change in the software . thanks

If you have the DVD its easy.Splinter Cell : CT has Starforce, so you need to have a DVD-Rom which is capable of reading RMPS Data.

1.Put your Original in your DVD-ROM/Burner
2.Start Alcohol and Click on the Image-Creating Wizard
3.In the upper selection box you select your Drive with the Original DVD and
select the main Read Speed, if you can't change this - it's Ok
In the Lower section there are 2 checkboxes: Skip Read Errors and RMPS.
Check both boxes and click on "next"
4. Now Alcohol wants to know where to put the image and what Name it
should have, Select directory and give it the name you want, click next
5. Now it asks for the RMPS reading speed, try low speed at 1x up to 4x.
6. Next , wait til the image is done, voila
If Alcohol gives the error-message : DPM/RMPS Reading failed then you have to use another RMPS speed ; or your drive can't read RMPS data, in this case you need to download a .mds file with rmps.
Have fun

Several knowledgable forum members insist that Blindwrite is much better at reading and writing the topology of CD's/DVD's, which is the heart of today's commercial copy protections.
