How many games on PS2 are on dvd?

I was looking into buying a Ps2 and doing my homework on how hard it is to at Mod-chip and burning cd's. Reletively easy except.....How many games are on DVD. I was looking at the pioneer DVD burner for 600$ then 60$ for 5 disks. Thats a little expensive. Aspecially when it's converted into canadian dollars.....
Is this something I should be worrying about.
Thank You

####://www.sg-dan.com (which is down again today) has a database of games and whether or not they are on DVD. There is something similar on ####://www.ps2ownz.com .

The real point is that from now on games are coming out on DVD mostly. So as burners come down in oprice to c. twice that of good CD burners, more of us are going to buy DVD burners, particularly the Pioneer AO3. The alternative, ripping DVD games to disk, is time consuming, an adventure of discovery for each game and an inferiror result. So my advice in your planning is to count on DVD burning as a prime backup method.
