my friend made me the copy of capcom vs snk 2 but the game won't boot. my friend told me to fix it but i don't know how to and where to start.

Look, either your friend ####ed up or you have one of the newer versions of the dreamcast and you need the boot disk. Tell you what, tell your friend to show you that it works on his DC. If it does you need to get the boot disk.
