Copying DC backups

Which program should I use to copy existing selfbootable backups? I tried CloneCD but no result?
Thanx!

Not efficient.

You will waste more CDs than necessary.

Agree: nero is fine as well, but DJ has more friendly interface 4 the newbie.

U jokin'?

Which is the most asked question in here about DJ?
"Which DJ settings...?"

Nero has a nice help file, a Wizard and a completely intuitive GUI...

Settings the same as Nero has - simply you don't change it and leave on defaults I guess - so you think that there's no options....:

Selfbootable (i.e. 2 sesions: 1st audio; 2nd DATA):
Mode 2
CD-XA

And for the non-boot just Mode 1

All this settings I changed in Nero as well as in DJ.

But DJ is more simplier cause it's clearer to start Burning.... in Nero you must first locate image, then choose the sesion options then mode options and only then burning with other amount options that simply frightened the newbie.... in DJ they all hidden in Advanced Options.

Hehehe, I like this...

Well, I tend to have an archive of all my backups self bootable and in .NRG format so if I want to re burn them, I just double click on the file itself (.NRG) which already opens Nero in the Burn screen, then you just click on the BURN button. 3 clicks in total (2, if you have doubleclick assigned to the middle button of your mouse )

Now, with DJ, you open DJ (1), click on CDI->CD icon (2), choose image (3) then BURN (4).

Which one did u say is faster?

clone cd is the best it never failed me
but you have to use the right settings
read subchannel data for audio , and data tracks
must be enabled and the error correction to none
better use your recorder to read cd's
no other options should be enabled
the best version is 2.8
when wrighting enable the laser calibration (needed at some recorders like mine mitsumi 4804t
)
dont repair sub channel data and close last seeetions should be enabled too
then you should get a perfect copy

sorry to bring this topic back, but i have had problems trying to rip ### and Virtual Tennis, both are self booting backups on 700mb cds.
Following instructions from this forum and trying with Clone Cd, Disk Juggler and Nero I always get a very small image around 1mb for Virtual Tennis and 75mb for ### which are obviously to small to be the games. I am using a LG CD-RW CED-8080B to try and read, and i heard all LGs are compatible with DJ. I think my problem is that it is only reading the first session, is this my burners fault or is it something i am doing wrong. Please help

I have a similar problem. Mine is that a majority of my backup games are 3 sessions long. When I try to convert it to a cdi, it freezes while writing the second session. I have no problem with the games that are two sessions long, just with the 3 session games. What can I do??

Instead of starting a new topic, I'll just bump this topic up.

I am having problems with copying my backups. I've used CloneCD, CDRWin, and DJ with no success. With DJ the game shows up to be exactly like the original on the cdrom on my PC, but when I go to play it in my DC it goes to the cd player. I've copied games before and never had this problem, any ideas?

btw-the games are NBA Hoopz and NFL2K2

rfus, are you trying to copy an original GDROM or what?!

98on18s, have you tried using a CD Copy option of NERO? Just be sure you create the image in the hard drive first!

Katana, use better CDR media (Verbatim should work flawlesly) and try using NERO. Also, be sure you create an image on the hard drive first CD2CD copies don't work most of the times!

I always save it to the hdd first and I've burned a bunch of games with the media I'm using without a problem.

Forgot to mention that the media I've used are two different kinds and I still get the same problem, one was 74min(can't remember the brand) and the other 80min(Samsung).
