BF2 and blacklisting help please.

I just dl the dvd image and was wondering what blacklisting is? How do I prevent it? It seems my dvd-rom is scratching my dvd disc so I want to use an image before it gets too scrathced. Anyone else ever have this problem? I dont want to use any cracks. Also anyone know a good piece of software that I can backup my dvd on my cpu with? Like make an image of the game dvd?

I'm pretty confused! You downloaded the image of the full DVD from the Net or you're trying to make an image of the DVD you bought? Also, what blacklisting problems are you having; you get an error message (what exactly?) when trying to run your original, downloaded DVD or the DVD you copied from your original? Have you tried the mini image?

He means he burned the warez version, and trying to make an image of that lol

The reason your blacklisted is because you didnt buy the fecking game, and therefor your blacklisted as scum and lowlife now.

And also a ban from here also.

Not a bad days work on your behalf huh?

Ahh but did he mean he attempted to make a image of a warez version or a retail version ?. I have re-read the post and belive we cant assume its a warez version hes talking about. He hasent given enough detail regarding it (imho) for us to make that assumption.

Sounds like he downloaded it because his drive was scrathing his original. Now he wants to be able to play it without the original in the drive. So basically it sounds to me as if he wants to make a DVD of the downloaded version so he gets to keep his original nice & tidy.

I maybe wrong though cos I only speak english

Daband not even going to reply to you not worth it. I have the retail version and I downloaded the mini image from gamecopy, look at my history of posts I know the rules. I was wondering what blacklisting was incase I got it. I read that it says if you use the mini image you could be blacklisted? Did I read it wrong? If so why is there even a file to DL to go against being blacklisted if you wont be if you dont have a warez version? Well so basically my question is do I have to worry about being blacklisted if I use that mini image? Yes I have retail version thats why I am worried about it getting scratched up more. I got no error messages was just worried that I would be put on this blacklist for using the mini image.

Ok now im a little confused. Have you installed it from your original shop bought retail version ?. Have you downloaded the game (warez) because of the reason that your original disk was getting scratched in the drive ?. Im trying to work out wether you have downloaded the whole game regardless of wether you own an original DVD or what ever the reason might be, Or is the only thing you have downloaded with revelence to this game the mini image ?. Im just trying to work out what you have downloaded.

from his very first post I always presumed he downloaded the mini image. He does confirm that in his next post.

guitarwolf, please, enlighten me in one thing: are you worried about being blacklisted (permanently banned?) from the main server of the game publisher, the only place to find people for online fight, or simply about being unable to play (the single player part of?) the game? I'm not accusing you of anything, I'm just curious! (I wasn't interested in any member of the Battlefield series so I don't have them...) Thanks!

I think he means the problem, that "newer" protections blacklists "older" DaemonTools, CloneCDVirtualDrive, Alcohol, .....

Let me clarify. I have no idea what blacklisting is since I never downloaded any warez copy. I thought if you use the mini image you get blacklisted. The only thing I downloaded was the mini image. If I use it do I have to worry about being blacklisted or is that only if you have a warez copy?

Now I understand.

When you said originally you downloaded the DVD image, myself and probably others would have thought you were talking about the warez release.

Then when Xtreme said you may have downloaded the warez one to stop your original from scratching, you said he was correct.

LOL

So we were all confused :P
