Thumbs down Evo-x???? soft mod????? MRIC?????

I downloaded the soft mod, but now I'm confused. It seems EvoX doesn't need it and the locking and unlocking stuff has me all confused. <http://www.copying-xbox-games.com/evolution-x-tutorial.php#hub> shows how to install evox and it doesn't seem to mention anything about soft mod.

SO HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS.

DO I NEED TO UNLOCK MY XBOX WHEN INSTALLING EVOX?

HOW DO I USE MRIC TO GET EVOX?
(THE GIVEN SITE ABOVE SHOWS WHERE TO GO)
(MY FRIEND SHOWED ME ONCE (HE TYPED SOMETHING IN, BUT I DONT REMEMBER)

Please write a little more... regular and avoid using caps lock as it is very disturbing.

Anyway, if you want to do a softmod this
is the place to go...
All needed info there and you will be pretty much guided where to get everything too.
