Woah! A lot of short posts and nobody just editing theirs, it can get pretty nauseating (don't know if I spelled that right... Bah!)

I can tell you why there are two mini-images.

The first one was made through the traditional way, by firing up Alcohol, selecting the matching profile, DPM at 1x with high precision, 1x ripping speed, and stopping it at about 1% of the ripping process. That's what makes it so small.

The second one was made through MIR (Mini Image Ripper) which as stated in its manual (that is, a few kb text file) should end up with a 20mb mini-image.

So, best you can do, is extract the small one in a folder, load the image into Daemon Tools, and try running the game. If that image doesn't work (it did for me), try the big one. Extract, load, play.

The missing textures and stuff i have heard can be casued by the no-cd patch on Owner level i think.... Other then that, I took out alcohol 120, dont have clone cd in , and used the daemon tools from the link on GCW. I have the 1.2 patch installed for mvp (important cause it fixed the game stuttering), butit still says CD EMULATOR detected and refuses to load.

Any help is appreciated..

Was not a bump attempt, I am asking a valid question and am looking for a response...

Rule #9 should state: Do Not post a "Do not Bump" post, which in effect, Does exactly what Rule #8 applies to.

contain any useful information that would help anyone with making or finding the no-CD patch in question? Nope, not at all! So, your second post was a bump.

Hmmmm lemme see... Rule #8, do not bump your own thread unnessessarily.

Well, #1, THIS WAS NOT MY POST ORIGINALLY.

#2 - I am bring completely constructive, as I waited a FULL MONTH before asking a simple sentence question about a valid game on a valid topic.

#3 - Here is a new Rule for you... IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING POSITIVE TO ADD TO AN EXISTING POST.. THEN DON'T POST.

It's what FORUMS are FOR....

For the love of GOD man, You act like I bumped this subject 500X... Check the VIEWS on it, Obviously Im not the only one who is interested in a patch for this game.

Damn right! An addition should be suggested to the forum rules so that "your own thread" reads "any thread"...

You're absolutely not constructive as you provided no useful information whatsoever. Useful information would've included 1) that you're working on it, 2) someone you know is working on it, 3) someone/you already released it and it's at this URL, 4) someone/you already submitted it to GCW.

Ooooh, I mean, wow! Please, quote that exact part of your post that was either constructive or positive, rather than just whining around. Thank you!

As for what forums are for, they're for sharing useful information with each other. Whining about why the information is not available or why no one is providing you with it, is just annoying noise, a waste of time for the (potential) readers.

Also, as for GCW, if the no-CD patch you - and other people, as well - requested was available, 1) someone might have dropped a note here and 2) it would be on GCW already anyway. The guarantee for that is the popularity of this site and the lots of people here...

Furthermore, if you meant calling the crackers' attention to the lack of this particular no-CD patch: hate to tell you but pretty much no cracker ever visits this site. One reason for this is the lots of bullsh*t that can't be suppressed, even with the current strict rules and moderators. (I wonder how Morglum007, a knowning person, can stand two forums: his own and this one... )

You've already bumped it twice. If I were a moderator on this forum, you would've already received a warning from me. (Well, this above you can also consider a more or less friendly advice that you can make use of on other, similarly popular and strict, forums.)

Joe
