More playback problems
I have recenlty backed-up a couple of films using MacTheRipper and DVDRemaster. Both films I bought from Europe, so I needed to remove the region coding before I could view them on my region 1 stand alone player. The player loads the disc but the image "tiles" up and down on the screen. I have back-up several films in the past without this difficulty, but this time I am throwing a few new variables into the mix. I am using a new _NEC DVD_RW ND–3520A drive and playing the 8X archived discs on a very inexpensive Desay DVD player that my sister bought us for Christmas. I should mention that the films play flawlessly on my Mac using the regular software player. Any ideas on this problem?

Your problem is that your dvd's are in PAL format. You need NTSC. Or if you have a PAL/NTSC option on your dvd player then use that. Otherwise you need to use a dvd player that has an option like that or a tv that does. Most newer tv's allow for this option.
