Backing up Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD
I know how to back up cd games with Alcohol 120%. But how do I go about backing up DVD based games such as UT2004? Also how do I use the 'no dvd .exe? I haven't used these types of files before, usually I'll burn a backup and use that. Thanks.

can't say in general - but it's simple for UT2004
just backup your ut2004 folder. you don't need to re-install it, copy back to any harddisk will work. you only will be asked for your key, that's all... |

So I copy the UT2004 folder, then I substitute the 'no dvd .exe in place of the regular game .exe??

Just copy the contents of your UT2004 dvd to a temp directory, copy the latest upgrade for UT2004 into the same directory.
Then burn the contents of that directory to a blank. The original protection that the game had was completely removed with the upgrade patches. |
