Rise of Nations (orig.) mini image prob.

Having used the T&P mini image thought I'd try and do an MI myself of the orig. cd (~20Mb)- used Alc120% (SD2/3 profile) then MIR however it doesn't work (have a Liteon combo drive) in either DTools or Alc virtual drive (both with and without SD emul on).
- is Alc120% the best one to use or is CloneCD a better bet?
Just wondering if anyone else has had probs or got it to work, if so how or do you have MI link

Well having destroyed the orig. RoN disc (sitting on the disc does tend to lessen its lifetime) have purchased RoN gold. Still would like to use a MI - however am able to make (via Alc120) an image which runs the game fine - for space reasons (and whilst keeping the master disc safe in drive would seem better in the long run) I would be delighted if anyone knows of a way to make a MI of RoNGold (protected by 'Smarte' safedisc variant?)
