Vampire Bloodlines

The nocd files from Hoodlum have been available for a while but I can't seem to get the game to work with these files. I get the message that the vampire.exe has caused a runtime error and will be closed.

Did anyone else experience the same. Can somebody help with a solution to this?

Is the game working with original cd/dvd without a crack?

The originals do not work either but I just found this on the internet about the patch 1.2

Description
Vampire - The Masquerade Bloodlines update patch will fix numerous bugs in the game, including the following:
Fixed C++ Runtime error on launch of the game due to older versions of Python interpreter.

So I guess it is not the crack. Will this crack also work with the 1.2 patch?

No, the 1.2 patch has a new EXE so you'll have to wait for a 1.2 crack as there isn't one yet!

The crack contains two files, vampire.dll & vampire.exe.
The EXE isn't changed by the V1.2 patch, but the DLL is changed.
The available V1.0 crack is working with the V1.2 game, but not all bug fixes are included and some dialog-boxes have different fonts.

Well didn't work. After the patch I still get the runtime error. The crack also doesn't work.

Christ! I still seem to be **** faced from New Year, don't drink and type kids!

Yes, it's the vampire.dll as GLH says that got updated not the EXE. The rest of the patch is script updates and updated dll's.

So you still need a cracked vampire.dll for it to work properly!

Well, I managed to resolve this. I read on a Vampire Bloodlines forum to run a program called regseeker (freeware) which cleans the registry. After this the game runs with the version 1 crack. Apparently it removed links to the python interpreter from the registry, which caused the game not to run.

Hi Incredible Bulk,

I don't think Vampires - or any modern game for Windows - would run on an Geforce _MX_ video card... Time to upgrade to a member of the Geforce FX5/6000 or ATI Radeon 9800 series...!

9800 pro kicks ass to any game released till now but just be sure to update to the latest driver frequently!

Hi guys,

A fellow member of the forum dropped me an E-mail with the URL of a no-CD patch for Vampires 1.2: http://crackzplanet.com/get_44321_Va...oCD_crack.html . I have no time to test it but you might want to try it. Happy gaming,

Joe

I compared (HEX) the V1.0 crack with this so called "V1.2" crack.
Both files (exe & dll) are the same.

So, no V1.2 crack available !!!

Hi all,
why don't you use a mini-image for the game ? I use "LinsoN" mini-image and it works great... I never had a problem with it, except normal game bugs
