Can i backup a ps2 game to a dvd rw

hi im new to this i got the info i need to backup my games from the ultimate sticky i was just wondering can i back up my games to a dvd rw??

Yes but depending on the condition of your ps2 laser, your ps2 may or may not be able to play it. If you have a fairly new ps2 you shold be fine.

mine dident want to play a dvd-rw and it is brand new but it plays dvd-rw movies it might of just been a bad game burn also

Assuming you have a mod chip it is likely a bad burn or cheap media.

my ps2 is about 3 years old and im using swap magic 2.0. To burn im using Record Now max DX, i also have nero which one would be better to use? I tried burning with Recordnow max but when i try n play the game the screen goes black with flickering in it, any ideas on what i should do? im trying to back up Mafia is there anything i should be doin before copying the image then burning it to ensure a good copy?? Thanks all help is appreciated.

Laser could be worn out, or the copy may be bad, or it could be that you're using swap magic...... get a modchip
