How do I change a self boot to non self boot?

Hi, I have a game I would like to change to none self boot, but I have a problem. I can rip the game ok, but when I go to use CDIRIP, it says unsuported format. Yet I reburned that same file, and the game ran fine. What is going on? If I could just get past this one thing, then I could make it a non self boot. Please someone help, thanks
