Tsop flashing

hey.... ive looked at 2 guides regarding tsop flashing, (the chipless mod or whatever ya call it ) and one guide required a modded xbox, the other involved a pc with linux on it, is there a method that doesnt require either of these?

Well, you need some way to flash the tsop. This is all after you solder the xbox mobo points to disable write protect. Note, xbox live will be a "no-no" after you do this mod, unless you have a v1/1.1 xbox, that can have a switch soldered to allow multibios.

There is only one way that I know of, which requires action replay and the "007:AUF" game. You load a hacked 007 save off the memcard, which boots to evox. You can then flash the bios with it. AR is needed because you need to get the hacked save onto the xbox somehow from your PC. AR fortunately is a memcard that does such deeds.

The modded box method is the same, except you can use a normal xbox memcard.

AR for xbox is not a cheat device at all. It is just an xbox save manager. In the xbox dashboard, you can choose to copy saves off the HDD to a memcard. The AR is a memcard, which can also be hooked up to a PC so that your saves could be backed up to your computer.

Alternatively, you can send saves off your computer to the memcard, to use in games. This is what you must do to get the hacked save loaded on the xbox. Send it from your PC to the Action Replay, then load the save off the memcard in game.

If you have an action repaly, then you can use that instead of the modded box way displayed in that tutorial. Just skip that step Also, linux (is in the gamesave) is needed for that one, but it is also the safest way. It requres a PC to hook up to your xbox.

I have not tried flashing with evox (non-linux way), but as soon as I get a memcard, I can tell you. Unfortunately, it won't be for a while.
