Need HELP!!

Hi all, I've just installed a duo2 in my version 10. I turned the unit on and all the lights came on, the cd tray opened and closed and it sounded like it was reading the disc but I'm not getting any picture. What have I done wrong?!!! This is my first attempt at PS2 so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Make sure all you’re wiring is correct and nothing is shorting where it shouldn’t be. Also make sure all your ribbon cables are connected and seated correctly.

Have a thorough check of all your solder points using a magnifying device and ensure that they are all clean solder connections without any shorts. If they all look good and you still have a problem remove the mod and see if your ps2 still works normally. If so reinstall the chip again taking plenty of time to do a top notch job.

A lot of problems can come from using poor wire that isn't good enough for the job. Alweays use kynar insulated awg 30 wire for signal connections and the largest multicore wire you can solder to the points for +v and gnd connection and make all wires as short as possible.

Wink

Hi guys, thanks for all the tips. I've found the problem and fixed it now. When I opened my ps2 up again and checked all the points, I noticed that a couple of wires had been squashed when I screwed the unit back together. Must have got a bit carried away with the screwdriver. Anyhoo, removed those wires and replaced with new and didn't screw the unit together so tight this time and everything works.
Thanks again for the replies.
Cheers.
