Question Once again "Is'nt one DVD enought?

Ok here goes, if i get an "8X Max DVD+-R/+-RW and 48/24/48 CD-RW" Then why would i need another (CD or DVD player or writer)? I have been confussed since i asked the question "Do i need 1 or 2 DVD players or writers" Can't i get by with just the one? And can someone please tell me why you would need two? I'm new to all this and would love to hear what anybody has to say. We all have different outlooks. Thanks for your information.

If your talking about what advantages having a seperate DVD player and a DVD player\writer combo versus having just the DVD player\writer combo without the seperate DVD player. The one advatage over having the 2 seperate drives is that you could use the player as a source drive and the combo drive as the target drive thus elliminating the need to switch the source media to blank target media when your burning software pauses and prompts you to put in a blank disc if your doing a straight burn from prerecorded media on a disc.
In my opinion 1 drive works just fine plus it uses up less system resources . You definitly don't need 2 seperate DVD drives, just get one good DVD combo drive and I'm sure you'll be happy with it providing you use good software and media to go along with whatever your thinking about using the DVD drive for. The disc drive your planning on getting will play and record to both DVD-R and +R and CD-R media, so you will be completly covered there.
