help with splinter cell 2

I installed the game and wanted to run it and before it started it told me it had found a cd/dvd emulation prog running.I then stopped clone cd strg,alt,entf and tried again, nothing had changed still the same grey box that its found an emulation prog running.I repeated this 3 or 4 times nothing happened.Then i decided to deinstall clone cd and alcohol and hey presto the game started.Is there a way to play this game even when clone and alc are installed .When yes please help

install the latest version of alcohol, choose expert setup and change the name of the device drivers.
also latest version of daemon tools works.

or alternatively just dl the crack and use it
