matrix mxl2

just modded my ps2 with a matrix mxl2 and although it plays perfect,sometimes it takes 3 or 4 attempts at booting my backups even though i was told the chip boots 1st time everytime,have i installed the chip incorrectly or is this normal

hmm no games should load first time.. ive installed a bunch of them.. maybe its your power/ground wires ? try beefing them up.

Yea use thicker wire or double up the wire. Dust2dust brings up a good point, your chip could be a clone, go to www.infinitymod.com and check to see if your chip is a clone or not.

Checked all the wires and everything seems fine also checked the chip and its not a fake and its still pot luck whether it loads a game and now its pot luck loading original discs,any ideas?
