Question sony dvd-r discs?

I have purchased 30 dvd-r sony 120 min 4.7 gb discs...when i make a backup of my games they skip like mad....all originals play just fine....i keep hearring how ritek is the way to go.....can someone shed some light on why ritek is any better than sony..and memorex for that matter....and what i may be doing wrong i have used dvd dycrypter....nero....disc juggler...ect ect..but all play the intro mostly flawlwessly then when the higher graphics start it skips in like 1 second chunks and is unbearable

maybe ur writing at a higuer speed that it can take OR say it can take, try writing at a much slower speed

ok i finally got it to burn and when i play the game it has glitches as well as long loading times......pixilizations at times......any suggestions

ive been told that the ver 1-3 on the ps2 may not be able to play the dvd-r discs?...does this hold any truth to it...mr ps_paul could u shed some light on this issue

could someone pls shed some light on the dvd-r and the dvd+r .....alot of conflicting info out here and i would like to have it updated and laid to rest...hehe
