Swap Magic & Slide Card

I am writing this for the newbie who has no experiene in soldering and does not want to void the warranty, and needs another solution to back up his games. Even though it is probably the worst method of backing up your ps2 games, it is still a very good choice, despite what all these moderators say (THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT). I do not see why it gets so much criticism around here. All the games work fine, it takes only about 30-45 seconds to boot, you do not have to open the case and void the warranty, and you can always undo the modifications that you have made (unlike a solder mod). And does anyone even know someone who has destroyed their ps2 by using the slide card? If you just take care by opening and closing the tray very slowly, then it is no worse than just pushing the eject button.

They are crap. Yes they damage your ps2. 30-45 seconds is a very long time to get a game to boot. And yes you can remove solder mods. No worse than pushing the eject button? Ha!

No it is not a good choice and it doesnt play ALL backups, We moderators may not always ge right but we do speak from experience which is something you obviously dont have. Yes, i have seen the tray get damaged from cards. Yes, i have seen trays damaged from the hard eject from the no solder. If this is your choice to play backups then fine, you go right ahead.

I think russellian just posted this so he can convince himself that he did the right thing. Too bad for him.

Anyways, currently none of the moderators here make any money off of telling anyone on these forums that chips are better. We only do this because we actually want to help people make the right decision for whats best for them and their ps2. Sometimes I think people tend to forget that.

hehe i dont think there is a point with mod chips. Gives you no advantage over a unchiped console spet copyies but there illegal!
