PS2 space channel 5 p2 -> DC?
I was just wondering is it possible to rip the english voices and text from the PS2 version of Space Channel 5 Part 2 and put them on the DC version? If it is possible, can a regular dvd drive read a ps2 disc?

the replacement is probably feasable but i dont have any idea about how to rip ps2 games as i dont have a ps2. maybe you should look for the ps2 image to get the plain files and replace them in the dc game

You can replace the files as long as they are in the same format.
I don't have thatgame for PS2 so I can't check. Of course, you can do it the really hard way, record all the voices from the PS2, then re-encode them into Dremcast format and put them in the right order (That's a lot of work!). |

You know what's crazy???
I almost did that! I thought, very seriously, about getting a friend who speaks Japanese to translate everything and record a friend with a voice like Ulala's to replace the speech. I grew out of my fascination with SC5p2 before I got around to it though. Crazy huh? -Ex P.S. If you get those voices replaced with the english ones from the PS2, let me know. I'd like to do that with mine also. |
