Powerdvd 5

Just wondered if any of you peeps had come across this problem i encountered today with a friends pc.
I have loaded dvd de-crypter on his puter and de-crypted a film onto the drive...but when i attempt to play the vob files it comes up with powerdvd to play the file but then errors and says that some filter or such like is missing (can't exactly remember what).
Have they made any adjustments to powerdvd 5 to stop you playing vob files ...ie not letting you view de- crypted files with it.
I have the same proggies on my own puter and can play the vob files no probs...but i have a earlier version 4 .
He has only had the puter since xmas ...it' a medion system with a pentium 4 2.4ghz dvd/rom and dvd/rw. (operating system win xl)

I have no problem with powerdvd 5 & decrypted VOB files, maybe reinstaling powerdvd solve your friend problem
