90+ Minute CD-R media

Does anyone know if these are ok to use for longterm storage if I stay within 74minutes rather than using the whole 90+ minutes? I have a couple of these and don't really need them for all the space, just need them for storage. Please let me know if anyone has had any experience with them. Thanks

They should last just as long regardless of how much you burn onto each cd.

Well some burners are better than others but if the write is successful you will be fine.

Where did you get 90 minute CD-R's anyway. I never even knew such a thing existed. I thought 80 minutes was the max.

I buy them from a supplier and resell them, they're pretty good for movies and stuff.

I did a google search and found them. I was reading some artical that they even have 99 minute cd-r's. Do the 90 minute and 99 minute cd-r's work in most home players and PC burners like the 80 minute and below or are there compatability issues?

I personally have never used them, but I would look in your manual or email your burner's manufacturer just to double check that they will work with your burner.
