Xecuter Pro/Lite/Lite Plus
I dont get the difference between these. I do realize that the Lite and Lite Plus are solderless and the Pro has 9 wires, but aside from that what is essentially the difference? I do not plan to do any dev work, only run backups. Can someone help me out please. Thank you

The Pro has seven wires to solder plus two for the ground.

The pro can hold 2 more bios, and has recovery from a bad flash. The light can hold only 2 bios, but that is all you'd really need. I'd suggest the x2 lite.
btw, x2 "+" versions are the only solderless ones.

chaps
I've decided to get a Xecuter 2.3b chip for my Xbox. I have the choice of the Pro, Lite and Lite +. I'm thinking either the Lite or the Lite + at the moment. Presumably they are exactly the same chip, just one is a solderless version. What are the pro's/cons of both chips, and more importantly what one would you recommend ?

Hey man, long time ne see.
Well the Plus is for people who can't solder and or are to lasy to solder. Solderless chips some times move of your Xbox is bumped, than you gotta open it back up and line it up... With my old Matrix this only happend a few times. When I brought it on the plane and when I drove back from the east coast. But it did stay in place when I drove to Oregon and came back... As for the Lite, I'd get this. Just seven wires to solder and it done. Its not going to move. Plus its cheaper.

Black, Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Purple, and Gray. The X2.3 (red pcb) only had six wires to solder.

Not Lite +
I have the Lite + and it is a pain in the a$$. Everytime I move the Xbox I end up having to open it and realign the chip. Sometimes I'll be playing and shut down and come back later and it frags. I can usually just try to bump the box around a little and it eventually works.
I am going to switch to the Lite solder version. My buddy has one and it works great. If you can't solder like me find someone who can. |
