Beyond Good & Evil

I have downloaded the crack for 1.01 and after starting the game, all my savegames are away and can't be load.
What can I do?

I don't think that's what he wants to hear. So can anybody confirm whether the update invalidates the savegames ? I remember Fallout 1 doing that to me. Man, I was PISSED
