Need Help Flashing Bios

Can someone please tell me how to flash my chip with bios once I get it ? I read all of the tutorials on xbox-scene but everyone said something different, and I dont know which one to follow. Disable the flash when doing it ? Using XBTool to do something ? Arrrhgg someone please help me.....

Yeah. I just need to know everything that I need to do to be able to flash my X2.3b Pro with the X2 4797 Bios. I read on Xbox Scene that you need XBTool or something like that ? And you have to copy a bunch of stuff into your EvoX.ini ? Is any of this true ? And if not, can you guys give me a easy guide to flashing my bios ? Im very new at all of this, and I have no idea what Im doing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the x2 pro needs to be flashed because it comes with no bios
there is usually a progammer with it
the xbtool is just used to modify the bios.. which is not needed
...
did ur x2 pro come with a flasher?

Im not sure. I havent recieved it yet. I am just doing some heavy reading up on the subject before I even attempt to do anything because it was recommended that I do so. I was hoping that I could just flash them by disk, because I dont know anything about flashing them by programmer (or disk for that matter). I am also having an installer put it in for me because I have no knowledge of soldering and electronics. I know that it can be reflashed by disk, and I already have the X2 4979 Multi bios downloaded. I just dont know what all I have to do before I drop them to a disk and load them up on my XBox. Also, do I need to install EvoX first ? And if so is there any kind of Tutorial anywhere that I could read that only tells me what I need to do ?

yea there should be a programmer with it
just upload whatever bioses u want on there
if u cant solder.. thatd be a major problem
cuz u do needa solder
although it is pretty easy, ucan also easily mess up
...
so first look for someone to solder it for u
...
before u solder u gotta put a bios in.. but the bios is useless without the chip actually in

Yeah, I am going to have someone install the chip for me. Cant I just flash the bios by disk ? And if I wanted to flash them by the programmer, how would I go about doing that ? Can you hook me up with a tutorial on using the programmer ?

nah u cant use a disc because without the chip.. the xbox would boot the msdash not evox...
i believe its the same was as the matrix.. like u put the chip in the programmer but the battery in the attach the serial to the computer use a flasher program (extreme-mods suggested http://www.extreme-mods.com/files/x2cable.zip)
then u should be good

You are wrong, because it says on the site that the X2.3b pro can be flashed by disk or with a programmer. And I also heard that you have to install EvoX before you install the Bios. That would take care of the EvoX booting before the MSDash.

Perhaps you missunderstood me. My Xbox will be modified before I start installing EvoX or Flashing my bios. Like I said before, I am just doing some reading on HOW to do it before I start with anything, because this is all new to me. Thats what I was trying to ask you, After my Xbox modchip is installed, and I have it back, how would I go about flashing my bios then ?
