Generic Pal 2 Ntsc Patcher ?

Has anyone out there heard any news of such a patcher being developed by anyone ?

For people such as me living in a Pal region we are having difficulty with games such as Tiger Woods 2k4 and NBA Street Vol. 2 which are Pal only games. As well as the New Rugby League game NFL Rugby League in Australia or Stacey Jones Rugby League in New Zealand. I was going to purchase this but just found out it also is Pal Locked.

I am using the absolutely fantastic X2VGA adaptor by Neoya and to use the true VGA mode for High Definition ( 480p 720p 1080i ) I have to put the xbox in NTSC mode with the Enigmah video selector.

That is great and every other game I have works fine except the above which are locked / pal protected.

the same problem arose on the Dreamcast and somebody wrote a generic Pal patcher which removed the Pal code enabling use in NTSC mode.

There was a patch for Tiger Woods 2k4 to do exactly what I need but it has been removed and nobody wants to pm or email me with it but that's another story.

PS2 has a great patcher which also does same thing but I have searched far and wide and not found anything similar for xbox.

Any ideas ?

i dont think u can patch em
but alot of games play
they have like a switched from one to the other though

yeah alot of games do play but some companies like EA seem to restrict their games to either Pal or NTSC which sux when u hav Pal and want to go to NTSC mode to use VGA adaptor.

Also new games like Stacey Jones Rugby League have a new form of Hard Drive protection. They stop you from copying it to the HD with programs such as XBCopy or DVD2xBOX by making all the filenames ridiculously long and hence uncopyable.

Suppose someone will figure a way around this in the long run though !

Are you talking about the Enigmah Video Selector ?

because I already use that to put the xbox into NTSC mode or you can do vice-versa.

Problem is the games mentioned will ONLY boot in Pal mode and to use the VGA adaptor you have to be in NTSC mode.

The only solution would be to patch the game itself so that it works in NTSC mode as well as Pal mode but I cannot find any such patcher.

there was a generic patcher on the Dreamcast for such problem and one exists also on PS2 but no one has programmed one for the XBox and probably because the code is too hard to work out or each games is unique in how the Pal protection works.

I am open to any suggestion though to get these Pal protected games working : - Tiger Woods 2k4, NBA Street Vol. 2 and Stacey Jones Rugby League ( NRL Rugby League 2k4 in Aust.)

There are NTSC version of the first 2 available but I bought mine in Australia and no NTSC version is available. EA don't want to help at all and are very beligerant about it.
