I just got delivery of the DUO, and it came without wires.

Where and what type of wires do i get?
What wattage for soldering iron?
Is the DUO good?

Thanks!

Duo is very good. Go to Radio Shack and get some 32 AWG and 22 AWG(for ground and reset) Radio Shack's 15 watt soldering iron they sell is fine.

a few tips
solder paste as to normal solder makes the job much easier (expensive if only doing 1 install)

now listen ,take your time ,open the ps2,look at diagrams see which points u have to solder to,PUT THE PS2 MOBO IN SAFE PLACE, find old pc pcb with similar points to the ps2 points, practise until u can do them perfectly everytime,1 time good then move to the ps2 is asking for trouble

Thank you both. Both of your responses are very useful and reassuring to me.

I bought a dual 15W/30W from Radio Shack. Use it at 15 or 30?

"Go to Radio Shack and get some 32 AWG and 22 AWG(for ground and reset) Radio Shack's 15 watt soldering iron they sell is fine."

I went to Radio Shack. All they carry are 18, 20, and 22 AWG. They were unable to guide me where I might get 32 AWG.

Is it okay to use 22 AWG for everything?
Another vendor in Queens?

Thanks again!
