Angry Think My Laser is Shot

I have a V4... can anyone give me some pointers as to what to do.

I'd like to replace it myself, if its not as hard as doing a mod-chip, I'm not that good as soldiering small joints.

Maybe someone can give me a good person to repair it in the PA, NY, NJ area.

Thanks
Pepe

Replacing the laser is a simple job. Anyone can do it. Nowhere near as difficult as fitting M2.

The only soldering u have to do is to remove two solder links on the laser unit when u get it ( antistatic precaution solder links)

Once thats done all u have to do is strip down the dvd drive a bit an drop the new laser unit in.

It should work straight off without any adjustments.

Regards
