Exclamation New Boot for Freedom Fighters

Well this is very strange. While trying to boot Freedom Fighters with a v7 PS2 with a Clone Messiah2 I was only able to get it to boot maybe once in about 30 tries using the open tray after PS2 logo goes away. I remembered that my back-up was burnt a 4x and was on Princo media. Not very reliable at most times. Anyway I decided to re-burn the game using the Princo 4x but burning it at 1x. I also chose to Build the Global image at Min. I also used the back-up instead of the original. Low and behold I can now open the tray right as the EA Games logo comes on. I let the tray open all the way, then hit close tray. Even though the EA Game logo is skipping the game picks up where it left off and begins to boot. I can now play Freedom Fighters without finding the exact place to open the tray. In other words I can open the tray at a less critical point and the game works. One thing don't let the game go all the way through the opening sequences. Start playing right away as at some point it will check the PS2 disc and show the RSOD. Hope this helps, Zellar!!
