Unhappy Mace Griffin problem

Has anyone had trouble backing up mace griffin bounty hunter and Freedom Fighters( ea games )
I have backed up both games but none will play. Mace gets to playstation screen then goes blank and FF gets to ea screen and locks up.
I am using pioneer 106 with record now max 4.5, orange bulkpaq 4x dvd-r media. Messiah chip about 2 years old and new laser fitted last week.
Can anyone help please

No patching is necessary with a Messiah.

Wouldn't you rather wait a month or so and get the Messiah 2 1.32? Talk to dust2dust for info.

Here

BG hasn't been here in a while but I know he recommends him as well. Just do a search. Everybody has nothing but positive things to say about him.

Cheers guys, done mace griffin on purple bulk paq and works fine.
Any ideas why some games play and others won't even on the same media??? what's the best media these days, is it best to pay a little extra and go for verbatim??
Cheers again

Bulkpaq suck in a big way. Very light write surface. If u get em to work then u must be lucky an have very good laser but they will shorten yr lasers life in a big way. I started off with these. Initially they worked fine but with games where the laser is jumpin around the disc a lot (GTA Vice) they struggle in a big way an I was fed up with coasters.

If u looking for cheap dvd-r try Clonedisc (ritek dye) or ritek silver top. If u wanna spend a bit more an treat yr ps2 better get Verbatim (not inkjet printable ones!), Ritek branded, Traxdata or DVDMaster. All these use dark purple dye an work perfectly.

Yeah, we all tried to save a few quid an get cheap dvd-r but in the long run it ain't worth it as half of em end up as coasters an ur ps2 is shot away in a year rather than several years.

Regards
