Flash BIOS?

He there, got a question.

I`ve had a Xbox modded with the 2-lite. It works just fine. Now I sold my xbox and want to buy a new one. I had heard something about modding your xbox without a chip. You should be able to flash your xbox-bios and overwrite it so the xbox can read copies of games without a modchip. And if it`s possible where can i find a guide to do it. I`ve searched on www.xbox-scene.com but i don`t know what to look for.

Any help?

Re: Flash BIOS

You have to have a Modchip to play imports and copies of games safely. Their are other methods of playing back-ups on the three top systems such as the X-Box, but they can permanently damage your system if you arent careful. The only safe solution would be to get a pre-modded X2.2 Pro X-Box. I highly recommend www.modchipman.com if you are in the U.S. They even have a premodded X-Box with a 120 Gb Harddrive upgrade for about $400.

Good Luck

Yeah its possible to overwrite the ROM on the Xbox permanently but it's risky and you can get a chip with a lot more flexibility and safety for only @50. Why risk your beloved $200 Box over saving $50 on a onetime investment?

no chip MOD

Hi,
I just bought an XBOX a week ago and then used a Game Exploit to mod it without a mod chip or opening my XBOX which means I retain my warranty!

I can now run backup discs, XB Media Player etc and run games from my XBOX HD.

See http://www.maxconsole.com/?mode=tuto...xbox&itemid=87 for further details.

another place to look is
http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials....,0,0,0,0,0,0,0

If the above link does not work then just goto xbox scene, click on Tutorials and then click on No-Modchip Exploits

I used the Action Replay and Mechassult method - probably the easiest but you do need Action Replay and original Mechassault (not a backup!)
