HELP NEEDED FROM ANY OF YOU KNOWLEDGEABLE
UYZ OR GALZ

TRYING TO DO A BACKUP OF DREAMCAST 18WHEELER - SEEM TO BE GETTING NOWHERE FAST

CAN ANYONE HELP

IN THE ECHELON SELFBOOT TUTORIAL NOTE 5 IT STATES

INSERT THE UTOPIA BOOT-CD VERSION OF THE GAME INTO YOUR CD-ROM DRIVE
COPY IP.BIN AND 1ST_READ.BIN FROM THE CD OVER TO THE SELFBOOT DIR

PLEASE ADVISE
IS THIS THE TWO FILES FROM THE 'SERIAL CABLE' RIPPED METHOD OF THE ORIGINAL DC GAME
OR IS IT THE TWO FILES FROM THE UTOPIA BOOT DISK

IF IT IS THE TWO FILES ROM THE BOOT DISK
HOW DO YOU EXTRACT THEM :-

I HAVE THE NERO VERSION THE CLONE VERSION AND JUGGLER VERSION BUT THEY ARE ALL IN SPECIAL FOMATS IE .CDI .NRG

Don't use caps !

Of courses your files are in special formats : .CDI IS DiscJuggler format ! .NRG IS Nero format.

These 2 files should be the one from the game you want to make selfboot, ie you should find ip.bin and 1st_read.bin (or 0winceo.bin) on your 18 Wheeler CD.

thanx - reading the tutorial i feelis a little misleading

anyway i've written anothr coaster using games bin's

managed a copy of chossy dc-cdr aided sware
but he doesnt mention the dummy file

i can only assume i should make one

is 30 mb alloance nough for the 3 min overhed

700 mb disk

30 mb ohed
234mb game
12mb burn 1

leaves approx 400mb duumy file

please advise
