In desperate need of help...

Hey there,

Im a newbie when it comes to ps2-backups. I have tried to do backups with several of my games, but only one has worked

The latest, Nhl 2001, didnt work although i patched it with a "EA pal patch"? Why is that...please help someone!
Im using a "region x" boot disc, and i have tried both ways of booting...but none works!
And onther game, Ready 2 Rumble has been burned and patched...and the Ps2 finds and identifys it as a "ps2 disc" but it will not load it....again why?!

Anybody...please help me!
