Maddrn 2004 online
When I try to play my Madden 2004 backup online I get an error when it verifys the "DNAS" info. It gives a code, "402", and a number to call. I didn't call it, I figure they have detected my mod chip or something. Anybody got any advice on this matter? Thanks

Don't call the number. Madden has DNAS protection. You can not use a backup online. You must use your original and likely disable your chip as well.

I got online with the original and didn't have to disable the chip. I guess there is no way to use the backup online. Is NCAA 2004 the same way?

A friend of mine at EA told me about this. He was telling me that since mods don't really do anything aside from replicate boot routines and media verification, EA now employs a sub-channel something or other. Proprietary blah blah blah and Sony didn't develop it and won't buy it from them, blah blah blah, otherwise they could make anti-mod games or some other garbage.
Of course, he told me all this as if I understood it... He could also just be full of doo-doo, because he's like that... But he gets me EA games at a great discount, so he can talk all he wants... |
