messiah 2 & metal gear solid 2

I have just recently got a premodded ps2 with messiah2 which has worked awesome, however it will not play MGS2 substance or sons of liberty. It will not play the original or a backup of these games. The MGS2 games will boot up and run up until the "press start button" screen. After pressing start it will go to the next screen, load new game or load game, etc...........after making a choice it will go back to the "press start button" screen. It will just keep looping between these 2 screens. I thought the disc was bad but have tried others too with the same results. Any suggestions?

Have you tried playing the original with the Messiah 2 turned off?

game plays fine here v6 and v7 with messiah2

How do I turn the messiah off on a version 7 console?

hold down reset for 5 seconds or until you see the ps2 screen

-most likely you're pressing the wrong button
-metal gear solid 2: SOL require you press the "O" (circle) button not the "X" button to make a choice, most japanese games do too

Kooldraco, you were right on the money about the wrong button............boy do I feel like a fool,

i should posted x and o u be surprised how many people do the same thing
