what happened here please

i installed my pioneer ao6 and then tried to copy a dvdr movie to another dvdr..........as it was copying(using dvdxcopy) my pc just crashed and then rebooted and my harddrive dissappered...........i had to format once i had got my pc to recognise it and tried again it did exactly the same but then it totally knackeerd me hd it had totally goosed up.....any ideas i am desperate to copy dvds but dare not try again as i have bought a new hd?????

You can NOT copy a copy with dvdxcopy.

yeah but it did it with the original of saving private ryan after.........a bit drastic anyway for dvdxcopy......an error message would of been nice instead

DVD X Copy is supposed to copy originals, like your SPR. You can not copy a backup.

i did use an original after and it did the same but really screwed my hd up....i had to get a new one...
