Thumbs up unreal tournament 2003

hello people,im new to this lark but, there is a way of making a working backup of your unreal 2003.Ive used nero and just dragged all the files to be copied and burnt them on full speed without adjusting any settings at all.I have repeated this for all three disks.Make sure you use your backup disks to install as per usual and install the patch verion 2136,then download a copy of the no-cd crack from this site under the PC GAMES heading, this is done by overwriting the unreal.exe in the systems folder. Now you can enjoy not only messing your originals up and turning them into coasters, you dont have to put the cd in the machine to play....I dont know why it bypasses the secure rom copy protection,as mentioned im new to this.......

Try the play with the backup copy without patching it or applying the nocd...you might be surprised how splendid the "bypassed" securom protection works...

Of course you "backup" works since they removed the protection after some patches (2136 I think) so there is no need for any No-CD cracks or whatever..

Oppss..just checked the ut2003 site and saw that the cd-checks
is removed from update 2199 and up, not 2136 as I mentioned before

Taken from the ut2003 site
.................................................. ...............................................@>
Performance/ Engine fixes:
- fixed xEmitter memory leak
- Improved bPreloadAllSkins for team games.
- set bShouldPreload (in [Engine.LevelInfo] section of UT2003.ini) to true on initial configuration for systems with over 512 MB of memory. This makes these systems preload all skins, reducing hitches in network play.
- no CD check! <-----------------------------------------------------------
- fix for name table corruption crash (which caused the reproduceable crash reported when AccessControlClass=XAdmin.AccessControlIni in ut2003.ini, as well as other intermittent crashes)
