How can I make a copy of VCD???

Hi. My friend got himself a movies on VCD and I want to make a copy of it but when i try to do it takes a long time (about 1 hour 30 min) and when it's finished the movie is all in squers, and the sound is damaged. So does anybody knows how can i fix it. Thank in advance.

just copy the cd (nero, whatever), it sounds like you're resampling it, just make a copy of the cd instead and save yourself the hassle
