Console Question

Hi Peeps
Just a quick question.... I have a friend who's young son has a european Ps2 (bought in england) and it his his mothers intention to emigrate to australia and wanted to know if the ps2 would be any good out there or would they have to either have it chipped or purchase a aus version??
I am not sure whether the games will play or whether they are a different format (ie: ntsc like are american buddies) or are they just pal based and will play...i don't think the dvd's will play as aus is region 4 (or will they??)

Any info greatly recieved

Australia use the same PAL format as we do so theres no problems there

Im not sure of there power supply tho so you may need a step up/down convertor to use on there lecky supply

If there power supply is the same voltage then you wouldnt need to do anything at all.
